- My assistant (£200 – advised for all but the smallest weddings)
- Travel (50p per mile, plus overnight fees between £100 and £200 for venues over 2 hours from London)
- More guests being painted from photos in the studio, if required
If your priority is getting higher numbers of wedding guests painted, this might be a good choice – although I think you’re missing a trick not getting a wedding painting on the day too!
When your guests are mingling at the drinks reception and during the evening party, I’ll paint them while they pose. I work from photos while they’re enjoying themselves at the wedding breakfast.
I’m standing at an easel rather than sitting behind a screen at a table, so it’s easy for your friends and family to gather round and watch me at work, close up! It’s rare that you’ll find a live wedding illustrator this fast and engaging, so it’s always an attraction.
We’ll gradually build a gallery of guest portraits during your drinks reception, and by at the end of the night, around 70 of your guests will take home a unique memento of your unforgettable celebration.
For larger weddings, I can either bring a second artist from my team, or complete more portraits afterwards from photos.

I am faster than most live wedding portrait illustrators, and I always include faces. When painting my wedding guest portraits, I can capture 4 to 5 couples or 6 to 10 singles per hour, depending on the style and speed you request. Full length, detailed portraits are more suitable for smaller, more intimate parties, and for larger weddings, I can use a more minimal, head and shoulders style.
